Information from pound pullers:
This is poor Sammi 🙁
I collected him today from a vets after he was found dumped in a ladies garden .
He’s a 14 month old entire male lurcher ( retained testicle )
The vets gave him morphine as we weren’t sure if he had broken his elbow or dislocated , this boy was and is in so much pain.
I collected him and transferee him to our council vet, where he has been X-rayed and confirmed dislocated elbow . His bill so far is £300 , ( the council will pay £150.00)
His elbow has been put back in place and he
Has now been moved to the vet hospital as his pain relief needs are above the normal practice , his 48 hours there will be over £200. The orthopaedic surgeon is going to re x ray tomorrow.
We are desperate for funds to get this boy sorted. He has been gorgeous even tho is agony !
*on average, it costs £150-£200 to pay the rescue costs (neutering, vaccination, chipping, worming, flea treatment) for every dog rescued from the pound, and more if they need to be transported and moved into EB before they find a rescue space. Please note that funds alone do not guarantee a dog’s safety, as there are many other factors to take into account such as availability of emergency boarding, rescue kennels, transport and rescue space. They do, however, provide a huge help to the dogs and their helpers in paying for their vital and expensive rescue costs.
