Information from pound pullers:
POE: RESCUE SPACE FOR 6mth old 10kg cream Sharpei male, in pound currently, shivering and a shaking, growling and lunging. Absolute fear of a lead or anyone approaching – will cower in corner and fear wee Council considering pts so experienced breed rescue space please, in foster, no children. Not known what he is like with other dogs at the moment. Found at side of road, taken to vets by finder – but didn’t bite them Had to be muzzled to go to pound Asked about injuries in case causing behaviour but appears ok visually.
Can someone give this puppy a chance please he is so scared?
*on average, it costs £150-£200 to pay the rescue costs (neutering, vaccination, chipping, worming, flea treatment) for every dog rescued from the pound, and more if they need to be transported and moved into EB before they find a rescue space. Please note that funds alone do not guarantee a dog’s safety, as there are many other factors to take into account such as availability of emergency boarding, rescue kennels, transport and rescue space. They do, however, provide a huge help to the dogs and their helpers in paying for their vital and expensive rescue costs.
