Information from pound pullers:
ABBI **SAFE, GONE TO FOSTER FOR 7 DAYS, THEN RESCUE**
**LOOKING FOR CLOSE BY TEMP FOSTER STEVENAGE AREA**
*WARNING GRAPHIC PICTURE*
I’m sure our sweet little Abbi will be quite popular, she’s a little female pug.
Sadly she has come into the pound in a bad way. When she arrived you could see her Prolapse and so she will be off to the vets for surgery. She will probably be spayed as well whilst she’s there, but we can confirm once we know more.
She seems a lovely girl and has shown no reaction towards the other dogs, but she can’t be properly tested in this pound.
It’s so sad that she’s in this condition and it clearly looks like this has been caused from breeding.
As said above we are looking for a temp foster for this girl please, so that she can serve her 7 days out of the kennels to recover from her operation. Please remember that she has not been assessed so we would say no other pets (or at least be able to separate), no young children and you must be home for most of the day.
ABBI TIMES UP ON 19/05
If you are a rescue and you are able to offer on our poor girl, should she not be claimed, then please contact a member of admin direct at Jacobs Pound Dogs UK.
PLEASE NOTE THAT SHOULD OUR SWEET LITTLE ABBI NOT BE CLAIMED, THEN SHE WILL NEED TO GO TO RESCUE WHERE SHE WILL THEN BE ASSESSED ETC BEFORE SHE CAN BE RE-HOMED.
Needs donations for *: neutering / vaccinations / microchipping / transport / emergency boarding if needed
*on average, it costs £150-£200 to pay the rescue costs (neutering, vaccination, chipping, worming, flea treatment) for every dog rescued from the pound, and more if they need to be transported and moved into EB before they find a rescue space. Please note that funds alone do not guarantee a dog’s safety, as there are many other factors to take into account such as availability of emergency boarding, rescue kennels, transport and rescue space. They do, however, provide a huge help to the dogs and their helpers in paying for their vital and expensive rescue costs.
